Wuerst Fest

On Halloween night we enjoyed an evening with my daughter Patricia and her family at the anual Wuerst Fest in New Braunfels, TX. New Braunfels is a German settlement and every year there is a festival to celebrate the German culture. You will find lots of beer, sausages and my favorite German Potatoe Pancakes. It is served with a sausage and applesauce. The problem is I dont know if I should put syrup like an pancake or ketchup like hashbrown potatoes. I come to the conclusion that I perfer hashbrowns separate from the pancakes with the sausage on the side. Anyway, its a once a year party with lots of polka bands and polka dancing. I took my grand daughter Anna on a ride. She was shy to make up to me but once I offered to take her on a ride she landed quickly in my arms and off we went. It was nice to see Patricia, grandkids and of course my favorite Son In Law.

Prayer and Healing service starts

On Tuesdays, a new prayer and healing service started at Grace Memorial Church. This is a traditional church where experiencing God is something new. Truths about prayer, healing and the Holy Spirit that we have taken for granted over the years are new topics for this congregation. It will be exciting to see how God moves in this church to bring some new wine, healing and blessing to these beleivers.

Lost Maples Nature Park, TX

It's fall! The leaves are turning colors . The good news is, you don't have to go to the Northeast or East coast to see them change. Right here in Texas at Lost Maples you can see the Maple trees change color. It's a beautiful 5 mile hike through the park. The scenery is lovely and as you can see in this pic the temperature is perfect. Los Maples is in the Hill Country of Texas about 75 miles from San Antonio. There is camping, fishing and hiking. Be prepared to compete with many people as the fall season comes and more people go to see the leaves change.

Dinner and Movie

If you are in the Austin area and want some great Bar b' que, you must check out the "Salt Lick" in Driftwood, TX. The ribs, sausage and brisket are excellent as well as the beans, cole slaw and other goodies. It is a long drive to get there but the Hill Country scenery is awesome. The smoke pit is inside the building and you can see the mesquite fire and watch the meats cook to perfection. After a stop to DQ for a blizzard and malt we stopped to watch the movie American Carol. You will laugh all the way through and finally enjoy a decent movie that makes fun of Mike Moore. Check it out!
One more note of interest. I always had a hidden desire to learn to dance. Going to wedding receptions in the past I felt awkward watching others dance and not being able to join in. Well, I've learned the Texas two step. the west coast swing and the cha, cha, cha well enough to get out and have some fun. This has been a real joy to get out and have some different kind of fun. So if you ever get around the Midnight Rodeo in San Antonio, there are lessons on Sunday nights and afterwards good country music to step your heels too.

Go to all the world.....

Several years ago, I was invited to visit an Indian village in the State of Hildalgo, Mexico. The village people sent me a horse to ride up the mountain. So not to offend the people for their generosity I mounted the horse and started the trip up the mountain. The problem was that the saddle on the horse was made to fit the Butt of a small Indian person. My Butt was quite large and didn't fit the saddle well. On the way up the mountain, I felt some blisters forming. As I arrived hours later there were several blister on my Butt. It was so painful that it was hard to walk. The next day the owner of the horse took it out to do some daily activities. I guess I gave the horse a good work out the day before and it layed down on the trail and died. Several days later when it was time to return, they offered me another horse to ride. I told them thanks alot but I'd rather walk than kill another horse. These kids were a part of the team on the way up the mountain. It was the first time that they saw a white man. We became good friends during my stay. As I was walking back down the mountain I heard the Lord speak and the he said, it is time for you to pass the baton to a new generation to go to difficult places. Like the prophet Isaiah said, "who will go? who may I send, then said I here I am Lord send me."

High HIgh will it go?

The Bible says that every thing that can be shaken will be shaken. It seems as though it is time for the economy to be shaken up. I think it is a good thing! It just might help folks to wake up and realize that we cannot depend upon ourselves but that our dependency is from the Lord. For the person who lives by faith, this is just a hiccup. For the faith person knows that God continues to meet our needs irregardless of what is happening on the world market. David said, "I was young, now I'm old, I have yet to see the righteous forsaken or his seed begging for bread." Keep looking up to Jesus who is the author and finisher of our faith.

Destructive Storms

Our country has been devestated with storms during the past weeks. Not only in our country but also in others like China and Myamar have suffered from "Acts of Nature." It is time for all of our intercessors to increase prayer and supplications for Gods grace and mercy to comfort those who are hurting as well as for aid to reach those in need. God is looking for a man or woman to intercede. Now is a good time to start.

India's Deceptions

In India there are about 3 million god's that are worshipped, one of those god's is the rat! So, in honor of this god, people give them milk to drink and accept them as a part of the family. While thousands of children suffer from hunger and starvation, these rats are fat and sassy. Jesus said. "you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." Paul said, "how can the believe unless they hear, and how can they hear if there is no preacher?" Jesus also said, "lift up your eyes and look unto the harvest for the harvest is ripe ready for harvest."

China's masses

Jesus said that the "Harvest is ripe and the laborers are few." Joel said that "Multitudes are in the valley of decision." These are masses that enjoy some fun at a swimming pool in China. So many people are in need to hear the Good News of the Gospel.

It Works!

Over the years I enouraged the flock to be light and salt in the work place. To penetrate a dark place with the good news of Christ. It was easy to give this encouragement from the safe sanctuary of the "pastors" office. For the past 10 months I've been in a very dark place, an industry known for its lack of integrity, honesty and truth. The training emphasized to "fake it until you make it." The pull to compromise ones standards is very strong. So, I made a decision when I started to see if what I had encouraged the flock to do and be was do-able, practical and possible. I told my boss that I would not lie or exagerate to make a sale. I set my stanards and haven't moved. The results are: I have a cell meeting at work and group prayer every morning. I have led co-workers to the Lord. Prayed for the sick (saw some instantly healed) have seen a change in the atmosphere of the resort and co-workers come for counsel and prayer. Because of the high turnover of staff I get the opportunity to sow seeds into many lives not knowing what the outcome might be. My flock has changed from the walls of a church to the people that I meet with every day. I've come to realize that being light and salt is not only what Jesus told us to be, it is possible to see His power released in the lives of hurting people even in the work place.

The Holy Spirit is a Master Craftsman

The Holy Spirit is a master craftsman that stands beside us to help us every day. Why? Because people are hurting and without the help of the Holy Spirit we are helpless. Jesus sent to us the Holy Spirit so that we can be both inwardly and outwardly effective. However, too many saints are inwardly beaten and outwardly ineffective. This happens because of our failure to see the importance of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. The Holy Spirit is near to us. "With you and in you" Jesus said it! I beleive it! We need to see the importance of letting the Spirit minister the answers that you need in your life. He is your friend, an every day friend. Sometimes it seems that we only want Him to "zap" some circumstance that we have gotten into. We call on Him to "solve this problem", "lift this burden", "do this" and "do that". Do we know who we are talking to? The Lord is speaking to you today to get excited about the importance of the Holy Spirit in your life. Remember this, we do no know more than God. God is positioning His church today to rely more upon the Holy Spirit. He wants to help the church by His Spirit to move into a mighty harvest!

Anonymous comments

Blogging has been a way for me to keep a diary of different thoughts and activities of my life that I choose to share with others. It is a means to communicate and encourage those who happen to read it. I find it quite comical to read the comments of "anonymous" folks who try to provoke and correct me without leaving any identification for a proper response.
My suggestion is for you to find the courage within yourself not to hide behind "anonymous." If you cannot find the fortitude to put your name, send me a personal email to pveach@yahoo.com and you will get a response. Until then let me remind you of the Apostol Pauls words, "let everything be done for edification."

The Gospel is FREE, someone has to pay the freight!

Have you ever thought about this? Jesus paid the price for salvation, healing, deliverance and prosperity for all of man kind. There is nothing more to pay! The Blood of Christ and His stripes made a way for everybody to enjoy Abundant Life! The challenge is to carry this message to the millions of people around the world who have yet to hear the message. Paul said in Romans, "how can they hear without a preacher, and how can they preach unless they are sent?" Thank God that the message of prosperity has brought some balance to the Body of Christ. There now are sufficient finances to send missionaries and to support ministries that are out on the front lines. While many in the Chruch are arguing over doctrines and traditions, people are dying all around the world not knowing Christ. I want to challenge you to lift up your eyes and to look upon the harvest. With just a small offering given in faith to the ministry that the Holy Spirit leads you too can make a difference and can help the gospel message go around the world. Selah (stop and think about it)

2008 New Beginnings

As we enter into 2008 we can expect New Beginnings. The number 8 in scripture speaks about new beginnings. Expect New things to happen to you this year. New experiences, new revelations, new insight, new friendships, new annointings and new love for what God loves. Spending time in prayer and fasting, I have a great anticipation to step into a new and renewed walk with the Lord. The closer you get to the source of wealth, the wealthier you will become. The closer you get to the source of healing, the healthier you will become. The closer you get to the source of life, the more of His life will flow through you to others. Expect to experience New things in 2008.
